Job summary

The Elliot Health System is seeking a Multimodality Radiologic Technologist to perform radiographic and CT Scan procedures, providing high quality images for interpretation by licensed practitioners. Responsibilities include preparing patients, adjusting technical factors, administering contrast as needed, and ensuring radiation protection for patients and staff.

Required education and ARRT certifications are listed, with CT certification due within 24 months of hire.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited educational program in radiography, radiation therapy, or nuclear medicine technology.
• Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Certification required.
• ARRT (CT) certification required within 24 months of hire.
• ARRT (Rad Tech) certification required.
• Ability to obtain BLS qualification during orientation period and maintain during employment.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a working knowledge of all radiographic and CT Scan equipment within the department.
• Prepares and positions patient for CT and X-Ray procedures according to the procedure manual.
• Adjusts technical factors in proportion to patient and body part while minimizing radiation.
• Prepares and/or administers contrast media (oral, IV, rectal).
• Checks patient charts for labs and allergies prior to IV contrast administration.
• Provides radiation protection to patient, staff and self according to safety standards.

About the Job:

• The practice of radiography is performed by a segment of health care professionals responsible for the administration of ionizing radiation for diagnostic or therapeutic purposes. A multimodality technologist performs radiographic and CT Scan procedures and related techniques, producing images for the interpretation by, or by the request of, a licensed independent practitioner.

What You’ll Do:

• Maintains a working knowledge of all radiographic and CT Scan equipment within the department.
• Prepares and positions patient for CT and X-Ray procedures according to the procedure manual.
• Adjusts technical factors in proportion to patient and body part being examined while minimizing radiation.
• Prepares and/or administers contrast media, i.e., orally, IV, rectally.
• Checks patient charts for lab results and allergies prior to the administration of IV contrast.
• Provides radiation protection to patient, staff and self according to prescribed safety standards.

Who You Are:

• Graduate of an accredited educational program in radiography, radiation therapy, or nuclear medicine technology, Required
• Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Certification, Required

Every weekend- Londonderry -8am-8pm opposite weekend Bedford 6am-4pm Every Monday Bedford 7am-4:30pm
