Job summary

Mercyhealth Wisconsin and Illinois is seeking a radiology technologist to perform advanced imaging procedures, operate equipment, and provide compassionate care. The role works with radiologists and the healthcare team, prepares patients, administers contrast, and supports education and leadership within the department.

The position requires ARRT radiography certification, CT credential within a year, and Wisconsin or Illinois licensure as applicable.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited radiography program.
• Two to four years of experience as a radiographer is required. Experience in a hospital environment preferred.
• ARRT registered in Radiography is required; the CT credential is required within a year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Maintains active status in the modalities in which they practice.
• Provides clinical leadership and completes projects and assignments as requested.
• Operates imaging equipment and selects appropriate devices for procedures.
• Positions patient for best demonstration of the area of interest and ensures comfort.
• Prepares and administers contrast media; starts IV access as needed.
• Initiates basic life support when necessary.
• Provides patient education and aids in supply/inventory decisions.
• Observes safety protocols and patient identifiers.
