Job summary

City of Winter Park is seeking a Transportation Manager with a strong foundation in Civil Engineering and Transportation Planning. The role focuses on managing transportation projects, developing a comprehensive Master Plan, and advancing multimodal mobility with emerging technologies.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree and at least four years of transportation planning/design experience, with higher qualifications preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with major course work in Transportation Planning, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline, plus minimum four years in transportation planning/design.
• Master’s Degree in a related field is preferred.
• Possess and maintain a valid State of Florida Driver’s License, Class E or higher.

Responsibilities

• Manage all transportation responsibilities for the Public Works and Transportation Department; oversee the Transportation Master Plan development emphasizing traffic management, trails, sidewalks, emerging tech, public transit, connectivity and safety.
• Lead long- and short-range planning for transportation improvement projects and seek state/federal grant opportunities.
• Coordinate with Engineering and Streets Divisions on multiple projects and programs; review traffic studies and recommend improvements.
