Job summary

City of Aurora is seeking a Transportation Planning Supervisor to lead the multimodal planning team and drive Connecting Aurora initiatives. You will coordinate with CDOT, RTD, and regional partners to advance corridors, transit, and trails.

The role requires a bachelor’s in planning and at least six years of experience; AICP is preferred. The city supports professional growth with educational programs and on-site facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in planning or related field.
• Six years of planning/transportation experience.
• Preferred AICP certification and supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee multimodal transportation solutions through Connecting Aurora and related plans.
• Identify and apply for federal/state/regional grants for transportation priorities.
• Coordinate with regional partners and agencies and foster partnerships.
• Supervise and mentor transportation planners and manage work plans.
• Ensure compliance with ethics standards and professional practices.
