Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in urban or regional planning, transportation planning, public policy, geography, political science, or a related area of study required.
• Master's degree in urban or regional planning, transportation planning, public administration, public policy, engineering, or related discipline preferred.
• Minimum eight years of planning experience with increasing responsibility, including leading complex projects or major components.
• AICP or PTP certification preferred.
• Strong understanding of transportation planning principles, multimodal systems, safety, and emerging mobility trends.
• Ability to identify client needs and develop practical transportation planning solutions.
• Effective leadership and team growth mindset.
• Familiar with Olsson’s Quality Management Program and capable of collaborating across teams.

Responsabilités

• Provide technical leadership to produce and oversee transportation planning projects including corridor studies and mobility initiatives.
• Serve as a technical specialist applying advanced planning concepts.
• Lead or support project management activities: scopes, schedules, budgets, staffing, deliverables, client communications.
• Perform QA/QC and ensure timely delivery of reports and studies.
• Conduct research in areas of considerable scope and complexity.
• Advise staff on design approaches to meet project requirements.
• Promote efficiencies and high-quality work across the team.
• Mentor and supervise planning staff and contribute to practice growth.
