Multimedia Visual Communications Specialist
JST is seeking a Multimedia Visual Communications Specialist to join our team.

Multimedia Visual Communications Specialist Responsibilities
- Produce high-quality multimedia content including videos, photos, animations, graphics, and interactive presentations.
- Capture and edit photographs and videos to document activities and adhere to DoD guidelines.
- Design visually appealing graphics, logos, infographics, and other visual elements for use in print and digital media, to include signage and presentations to support government customer needs.
- Design and maintain an up-to-date website, ensuring a user-friendly experience and continuous improvements to maintain updated quality and visual appeal, all while adhering to branding guidelines.
- Ensure products comply with branding guidelines and standards, demonstrating a consistent voice and tone throughout.
- Organize, catalog, and archive multimedia content to facilitate easy retrieval, safeguard of critical digital assets and distribution according to DoD requirements.
- Determine appropriate equipment to use for each assignment including cameras, lights, lenses, and attachments.
- Use industry-standard software and equipment for video editing, graphic design, animation, and audio production.
- Ensure multimedia content meets standards for accuracy, security, and relevance considering OPSEC requirements.
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to inform multimedia visual communication strategies and tactics and the forefront of communication practices.
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure timely delivery of multimedia products.
- Review and incorporate feedback from stakeholders to improve the quality and effectiveness of multimedia products.
- Participate in discussions and meetings to gather critical information that is key to product development and provide tactical and strategic knowledge in the area of expertise to better inform team members and further the goals and priorities.
- Understand target audiences and tailor products to resonate with audiences to demonstrate the value.
Multimedia Visual Communication Specialist Qualifications
- Degree or certificate in multimedia production, graphic design, communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of experience working in the multimedia field, preferably within a military or government context.
- Exercise artistic and creative ability in the fields of photography, graphics, video and multimedia to fulfill objectives in visual presentations, printed media, promotional programs and special projects.
- Proficiency in multimedia production software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, After Effects), Final Cut Pro, and/or similar tools.
- Strong understanding of photography and videography principles, techniques, and equipment.
- Excellent graphic design skills with a keen eye for aesthetics and attention to detail.
- Capability to create and edit videos for online platforms, including scripting, shooting, and editing.
- Skill in using visual elements to enhance and convey stories effectively, including graphic design and multimedia.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
- Ability to think critically and make decisions, pays attention to detail, and has a self-starter mentality.
- Proficiency in digital communication tools to include Google Workspace.
- Flexibility to work in fast-paced environments and adapt to changing priorities and have strong time management skills working under tight deadlines.
- Ability to work autonomously in a highly dispersed remote organization.
- Travel is required and expected based on needed support.
- Other duties as assigned.
Clearance Requirements
- MUST be able to pass a US Government Security Clearance.
