Job summary

ARES is seeking a Multimedia Systems Engineer in Houston, TX to design, install and certify Microsoft Teams Rooms solutions across NASA spaces. You will lead projects, collaborate with product owners and stakeholders, and ensure compliance with NASA standards and security requirements.

The role requires hands-on engineering, strong documentation, and the ability to travel for site visits and room installations. ARES offers competitive benefits and equal opportunity employment.

Qualifications

• Requires BA/BS and 5+ years of related experience with Microsoft Collaboration Systems.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Experience installing and configuring Teams Rooms appliance-based systems.
• Current Microsoft Teams Rooms-related certifications.
• Familiar with 508 compliance and energy standards.
• Experience in complete AV system design for collaboration spaces.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
• Ability to travel for face-to-face meetings.

Responsibilities

• Design, install and configure Teams Rooms appliances and peripherals.
• Manage multiple project tasks and provide regular reports.
• Provide technical analysis for hardware upgrades and risk assessments.
• Participate in standards maintenance and NASA standard changes.
• Evaluate non-standard room approaches for usability.
• Contribute to lifecycle planning and roadmaps.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, customers and stakeholders.
• Communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Travel to installations and center visits as needed.
• Maintain Microsoft Teams Rooms certifications.
