Job summary

Nexstar Media Group, Inc. in Rockford, IL is seeking a Multimedia Sales Account Executive to drive revenue through consultative, multi-media advertising solutions. You will call on local businesses, maintain accounts, and present customized ad strategies across TV and digital platforms.

The role requires a marketing or media-related degree, sales experience, strong communication with decision makers, and proficiency with social media and Microsoft Office. Valid driver’s license required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising or Mass Communications, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.
• Minimum one year’s experience in sales, preferably in the media field.
• Ability to hold meaningful conversations with decision makers and to CLOSE.
• Proficient with popular social media and digital platforms.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint & Outlook).
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Implement strategies to consistently grow revenue and exceed revenue goals.
• Establish credible relationships with local business community.
• Make sales calls on existing and prospective clients.
• Maintain assigned accounts and develop new accounts.
• Prepare and deliver sales presentations to clients.
• Explain to customers how specific types of advertising will help promote their products or services.
• Develop advertising schedules with station personnel responsible for placing advertising into station media.
• Work with clients and station personnel to develop advertisements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
