Job summary

Lockheed Martin's Palmdale Fabrication, Assembly, and Tooling Department seeks a Multifunctional Production Manager to lead multiple manufacturing functions, ensuring safe, efficient, and on-schedule execution.

You will guide manufacturing supervisors and managers, allocate resources, drive continuous improvement, and partner with engineering, quality, and production control to meet program commitments while building a culture of ownership and accountability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience.
• Experience leading through supervisors, managers, and multiple layers of leadership.
• Experience owning and improving Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, and People performance across a complex organization.
• Demonstrated experience developing and executing manufacturing strategies aligned with business, program, and customer objectives.
• Demonstrated ability to establish operating priorities, allocate resources, and make trade‑off decisions across competing business needs.
• Experience managing production performance through metrics, operating reviews, escalation processes, and corrective-action plans.

The Multifunctional Production Manager Is Responsible For

• Leading multiple manufacturing functions and their associated leadership teams to execute production requirements safely, efficiently, and on schedule.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience.
• Experience leading through supervisors, managers, and multiple layers of leadership.

• Demonstrated experience developing and executing manufacturing strategies aligned with business, program, and customer objectives.

Desired Skills

• Minimum 10years of manufacturing production, operations, or related experience.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a complex, fast‑paced manufacturing environment with changing priorities and significant business impact.
• Aerospace Composite fabrication experience
• Experience managing multiple manufacturing technologies and production disciplines
• Demonstrated experience leading a represented/union workforce
• Experience with SFM or comparable manufacturing execution systems.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $123400.00 - $229200.00

PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
