Job summary

Lockheed Martin Space in California is seeking a seasoned manufacturing supervisor to lead multi-area teams and drive efficient production workflows. You will supervise non-exempt staff, coordinate recruitment and training, and ensure timely completion of critical schedules while supporting process improvements.

The role requires experience in quality, production, engineering, or manufacturing environments, with capabilities in documentation, and the ability to obtain a Secret security

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Manages more than one functional area of manufacturing, such as machining, assembly, tool and die, packaging. Responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions. Provides immediate supervision to non-exempt employees. Assigns tasks and monitors work. Maintains schedules and workflow of the team. Collaborates internally with subordinates and supervisors at equivalent or slightly higher levels. Work on issues that are process-driven and of limited scope. Directs daily operations of a section and provide assistance to subordinates as needed. Actively participates in daily operations when necessary to meet critical schedules. Responsible for managing and coordinating the efforts of their team, ensuring efficient workflow, providing guidance and support, and achieving collective goals.

Basic Qualifications

• Experience formally or informally leading teams.
• Experience in Quality, Production, Engineering, or Manufacturing environment.
• Experience with Manufacturing and/or Quality processes and documentation.
• Ability to obtain/maintain Secret security clearance.

Desired Skills

• Ordnance Experience
• Prior experience as a Full Spectrum Leader within a LM Production Center (Space, Aeronautics, MFC, RMS, or other).
• Prior experience with customer interface (both internal and external).
• SAP/VE-CAMS/Apriso experience.
• Experience navigating/overcoming hardware delays, such as coordination with QA Engineering, MFG Engineering, and PMP Engineering.
• PR/MRB experience.
• LM21 Lean Six Sigma Green (or Black) Belt Certified
• Must be able to work off shifts, overtime and non-standard work weeks as needed to meet product deliveries.
• Strong Customer Relationship Skills.
• Demonstrated ability to proactively drive change.
• Demonstrate an extended culture of accountability.
• Strong interpersonal skills, oral and written communication skills and organization skills.
• Ability to multi-task, be thorough and detail oriented, and demonstrate strong job closure and analytical skills.
• Minimum 3 years of related experience specifically in Quality/Production/Engineering/Manufacturing environment.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $72500.00 - $134600.00

• For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
