Job summary

Prisma Health is seeking a flexible Unit Secretary who will be cross-trained to perform clerical duties and at least one additional clinical support role. Under the direction of a registered nurse, you will provide exceptional customer service, monitor and stock supplies, and contribute to a safe patient environment within the Medical Telemetry department.

The role emphasizes teamwork, effective communication, and the ability to balance administrative tasks with patient-facing responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Completion of a nursing assistant, patient care tech or nursing fundamentals course.
• No previous experience required is acceptable.
• Ability to perform clerical and clinical tasks as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to patients, families and staff with kindness and professionalism.
• Handle clerical duties at the nurse's station and support unit operations.
• Assist with monitoring, stocking and inventory of supplies.
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment in accordance with standards.
• Support data collection and basic nursing-related activities under RN supervision.
