Job summary

Prisma Health is seeking a hybrid Unit Secretary / Patient Care Tech at Greenville Memorial Hospital. The role combines administrative duties with direct patient care under supervision, supporting the nursing unit and care team.

You will perform data entry, supply management, patient assistance, and collaborate with RNs to ensure a safe, efficient environment and high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Completion of nursing assistant or patient care tech training.
• No experience required (entry level possible).
• Preferred background in nursing support roles.
• Licensure, certification or registration in the field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Handle unit secretary duties at the nurse’s station and assist patients and families.
• Record and organize data entry, minutes, bulletin boards and downtime forms.
• Monitor inventory and supply levels with nurse manager; manage PAR levels.
• Maintain a safe, clean unit and regulatory standards.
• Assist with activities of daily living and patient transport on unit.
• Document data in EMR and communicate with RN.
