Job summary

South Oxford Management is seeking a Project Manager to oversee renovation and capital improvement projects for a portfolio of 30 multi-family communities across CT, NY, and NJ. Based in New Haven, CT, you will lead contractors, supervise in-house crews, and ensure quality construction.

The role requires a BS degree, construction experience, and strong Excel & writing skills. Travel across CT/NY/NJ is expected, with competitive salary and full benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in a related field.
• Construction/building maintenance experience preferred.
• Highly proficient in computer and administrative skills with advanced Excel.
• Excellent writing and communication skills.
• Knowledge of building codes, standards and construction details.
• Ability to read civil, architectural and MEP drawings.

Responsibilities

• Oversee construction and rehabilitation from concept to completion.
• Coordinate and direct contractors and subcontractors.
• Manage architectural and engineering design consultants.
• Develop scopes of work for capital and maintenance projects.
• Obtain and qualify bids for capital projects.
• Troubleshoot construction issues across building types.
• Document work progress and prepare progress reports.
• Schedule project activities and optimize methods.
• Draft contracts and define scope of work.
• Ensure quality construction standards and compliance.
• Report to Senior Management on project requirements.
• Supervise in-house construction crew and scheduling.
