Job summary

Valiant Residential seeks a Construction Project Manager with multifamily renovation experience to oversee unit upgrades and capital projects across our portfolio. Based at our Dallas HQ, you will lead multiple concurrent projects across states and collaborate with property operations, ownership groups, contractors, and corporate leadership.

You will develop scopes, budgets, schedules, and procurement plans while coordinating with on-site teams to minimize disruption to residents.

Qualifications

• Three+ years of construction project management experience, preferably multifamily or occupied-property renovations.
• Willingness to travel ~70% and onsite work in Dallas when not traveling.
• Experience managing multiple projects, budgets, and schedules concurrently.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, estimating, and procurement.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with stakeholders.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple renovations, unit upgrades, and capital projects across a portfolio of multifamily communities.
• Develop scopes, budgets, schedules, procurement plans, and execution strategies.
• Coordinate with Operations, property leadership, ownership groups, and other stakeholders to define project objectives, priorities, and outcomes.
• Review contractor proposals, negotiate pricing, and assist with contractor and vendor selection.
• Oversee general contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and project partners to ensure compliance with requirements.
• Monitor construction schedules, budgets, change orders, invoices, and project documentation.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to evaluate progress, safety, and adherence to plans.
• Identify risks, delays, cost overruns, and quality concerns, and develop corrective actions.
• Coordinate construction activities with onsite teams to minimize disruption to residents and operations.
• Drive efficient unit turnover and minimize downtime during renovations.
• Ensure permits, inspections, approvals, and closeout documentation are completed and maintained.
• Provide updates and reporting to leadership and ownership partners.
• Review and approve contractor invoices based on verified completion.
• Maintain organized records of contracts, bids, budgets, schedules, and warranties.
