Job summary

Birge & Held, a leader in multifamily housing, seeks an Operations Manager to oversee daily operations across multiple communities in Indiana. You will manage the on-site Customer Experience Team, drive resident satisfaction, and coordinate with offsite centralized teams to maximize property value through operational excellence.

The role requires leadership, strong communication, and a focus on practical financial oversight, budgeting, and policy compliance within a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 3 years of management experience leading a team.
• 2 years of customer service experience in multi-family or hospitality preferred.
• Must be able to read and understand financial reports.
• Proficiency with property management software such as Onesite or Yardi.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of multiple multifamily communities.
• Lead on-site Customer Experience Team to deliver high-quality resident interactions.
• Collaborate with Marketing for occupancy and revenue goals; ensure seamless tours and move-ins.
• Coordinate repairs and upgrades; monitor budgets and cost-effectiveness.
• Ensure compliance with Fair Housing, ADA, FCRA and related laws.
