Job summary

Apartment Management Professionals (AMP) in Austin, Texas seeks a Make-Ready Technician to prepare apartment units for new residents. You will perform general maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs across electrical, plumbing, carpentry, drywall, and appliance tasks to ensure timely turnovers and a high standard of quality.

This hands-on role emphasizes customer service, safety compliance, and the ability to work on-call, including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

Proficient in basic electrical, plumbing, drywall/paint, carpentry, and appliance repairs.
Experience with turnovers and make-readies of vacant units preferred.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Strong multitasking and organizational skills; ability to meet deadlines.
On-call availability including after-hours and weekends.

Responsibilities

Complete all maintenance service requests in a timely manner.
Ensure units are turned over efficiently within timelines.
Follow make-ready checklists and ensure all tasks are completed.
Identify issues and perform basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, drywall, and appliance repairs.
Install and remove appliances, fixtures, and window coverings.
Perform touch-up painting as required.
Respond to tenant requests with excellent customer service.
Adhere to safety standards and local regulations.
