Job summary

Apartment Management Professionals (AMP) in Austin, TX seeks a Maintenance Technician to ensure proper maintenance and repair of apartment units and property facilities. You will prepare apartments for move-in, troubleshoot, diagnose, and perform repairs across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances, and more, while maintaining safety and compliance with regulations.

You will inspect vacated units, document renovations, and restore make-ready status.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of general maintenance experience.
• HVAC, EPA, and CPO certifications preferred.
• Strong multitasking, organizational, and deadline skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare apartments for move-in, diagnose, troubleshoot, and perform repairs.
• Organize general maintenance, preventative upkeep, and repairs per safety standards.
• Inspect vacated apartments, document renovations, and re-inspect before move-in.
• Restore units to make-ready condition.
• Repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing, appliances, carpentry, and related systems.
• Inspect grounds and buildings for safety and maintenance improvements.
• Respond promptly to tenant requests with excellent customer service.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including Fair Housing.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
