Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Service Technician in Sunnyvale to perform technical and mechanical work for property upkeep. You will diagnose defects, complete service requests, and participate in on-call rotations to maintain safety, cleanliness, and functionality of the property.

The ideal candidate has apartment maintenance experience with HVAC, plumbing, electrical and carpentry skills. EPA 608 certification is preferred; a valid driver’s license and strong customer service are required.

Qualifications

• HVAC, electrical, plumbing, appliance, painting, carpentry" skills for apartment maintenance.
• Experience with unit turns and preventive maintenance preferred.
• EPA 608 certification strongly preferred; CPO preferred or obtainable after hire.

Responsibilities

• Process work orders for resident requests and preventative maintenance.
• Complete make-ready tasks for new move-ins and inspect work.
• Track inventory, obtain supplies, and return unused items to storage.
• Document service activities and maintain accurate records.
• Maintain grounds and common areas as needed, including cleaning and painting.
• Support cost-control by repairing rather than replacing parts when feasible.
