Job summary

RHM Real Estate Group is seeking a motivated Maintenance Technician for a multi-family property in Columbus, Ohio. You will maintain the property, handling plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliance repairs, and assist with unit turns to improve aesthetics and functionality between tenants.

You will perform inspections, respond to maintenance requests, keep records, and schedule contractors as needed. The role requires flexibility for on-call shifts and compliance with safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Highschool diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in property maintenance preferred.
• Knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC and appliance repair.
• MUST SUPPLY YOUR OWN TOOLS (building provides specialty tools).
• On-call shifts and after-hours responsiveness required.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance on plumbing, electrical, HVAC systems and appliances.
• Conduct regular property inspections to identify maintenance issues and ensure safety compliance.
• Respond to maintenance requests promptly and professionally.
• Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, inspections, and inventory.
• Prepare vacant units for new residents including repairs, painting, cleaning and scheduling contractors.
• Schedule contracts and approve completed work orders and invoices.
• Assist with pest control when applicable.
• Support property inspections and prepare maintenance reports.
