Job summary

Peterson Properties, Inc. is seeking a full-time, experienced apartment maintenance technician to join our team.

You will maintain a safe, clean, and well-kept community for residents, performing electrical, plumbing, and HVAC repairs as well as general upkeep across occupied and vacant units. The ideal candidate has several years of hands-on apartment or residential maintenance experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Multiple years of verifiable experience in a similar maintenance position for multi-family housing.
• CPO and EPA certifications are preferred.
• Own basic tools including a smartphone or iPad.
• Physical demands include lifting up to 50 lbs, climbing stairs and ladders.
• Strong time-management, multi-tasking and prioritization abilities.
• Successful background and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs in occupied and vacant units, including electrical, plumbing, and HVAC tasks.
• Conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance needs and address proactively.
• Resolve work orders in a timely manner with strong customer service.
• General building maintenance: appliance repair, carpentry, painting and landscaping.
• Perform preventive maintenance on tools, machines, and equipment.
• Maintain a safe, clean work area and comply with safety regulations.
• Assist with unit make-readies and with grounds maintenance including pools and snow removal.
• Contribute to other related tasks at Peterson Properties, Inc. properties.
