Job summary

Peterson Properties, Inc. is hiring a full-time apartment maintenance technician to join our team.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with troubleshooting, installing, and repairing HVAC units in a residential setting and takes pride in safe, clean, well‑maintained communities. You will work in occupied and vacant units handling electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and appliance repairs, assist with unit make-readies, and support grounds maintenance.

Qualifications

Several years of verifiable maintenance experience in multi-family housing.
EPA certification is required.
CPO certification is preferred but not required.
Must have own basic tools including a smartphone or iPad.
Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb stairs, and perform repetitive tasks.
Ability to work an on-call rotation and pass background/drug screening.
Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

Perform maintenance in occupied and vacant units including electrical, plumbing, and HVAC repairs.
Conduct regular inspections and address maintenance needs proactively.
Complete work orders promptly while delivering good customer service.
Carry out general building maintenance such as appliance repair, carpentry, painting and landscaping.
Perform preventive maintenance on tools, machines, and equipment.
Maintain safe work areas and comply with safety regulations.
Assist with unit make-readies and grounds maintenance (pools and snow removal).
Handle other related tasks at Peterson-owned properties.
