Job summary

ResProp Management in Austin, TX is seeking a Maintenance Technician to respond to work orders, perform preventive maintenance and keep common areas safe and attractive. You’ll coordinate with the Maintenance Supervisor, service residents and vendors, and help prepare vacant apartments for move-in.

A hands-on, reliable team player with tooling skills and a willingness to work weekends is ideal. Strong safety mindset and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds are required; EPA certification

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of general maintenance experience, preferably in multifamily or related industry.
• EPA Type I/II/Universal certification strongly preferred.
• Trade skills include plumbing, electrical, HVAC, drywall, painting, roofing, cabinetry, pools, appliances, etc.
• Trade Licensing preferred but not required.
• Must have own hand tools.
• Must live within 30 minutes of community.
• Must be willing to work a varied schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Must have dependable transportation and be able to accommodate rotating on-call schedule.
• Must be able to perform physical requirements up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Respond to and complete work orders timely in a quality manner.
• Perform maintenance to keep common areas clean, safe, and attractive.
• Coordinate with Maintenance Supervisor to prioritize tasks.
• Provide excellent customer service to residents, guests, and vendors.
• Maintain property value through preventative maintenance.
• Prepare vacant apartments for move-in.
• Identify safety hazards and address or report them.
• Maintain and repair building and site systems.
• Use software to track work and performance.
• Be part of a team handling diverse tasks in a dynamic environment.
