Job summary

ResProp Management is seeking a Maintenance Technician in the Austin area. You will respond to work orders, maintain common areas, and prepare apartments for move-in while coordinating with the Maintenance team to prioritize daily tasks.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of maintenance experience, EPA certification is preferred, and you will work a varied schedule including weekends and holidays. Tools and reliable transportation are required.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of general maintenance/general repair experience, preferably in multifamily.
• EPA Type I, Type II or Universal certification strongly preferred.
• Trade skills including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, drywall, framing, painting, roofing, cabinetry, pools, appliances.
• Trade Licensing preferred but not required.
• Must have own hand tools.
• Must live within 30 minutes of the community.
• Willing to work weekends and holidays.
• Ability to lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Respond to and complete work orders in a timely, quality manner to boost resident satisfaction.
• Perform work to keep common areas (pools, laundry, clubhouses, parking) clean, safe, and attractive.
• Coordinate with Maintenance Supervisor to prioritize tasks during the day.
• Provide excellent customer service when interacting with residents, guests, and vendors.
• Conduct preventative maintenance to maintain property value.
• Prepare vacant apartments for move-in to ensure quick occupancy.
• Identify safety hazards and report or address them promptly.
• Maintain and repair critical building and site systems.
• Use software to track work and personal performance.
• Be part of a team handling a variety of tasks in a dynamic environment.
