Job summary

Roundhouse is seeking a Maintenance Technician to uphold and repair multifamily properties in Gallatin Gateway, MT. You will handle plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and pool systems, respond quickly to work orders, and ensure safety and code compliance.

The role offers $23-27/hour plus commissions and a $1,000 signing bonus, with a Monday–Friday, 8am–6pm schedule and alternating 24-hour on-call shifts. You’ll use maintenance software to keep orders current and accurate.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year in general maintenance and repair work.
• Understanding of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, CPO, and carpentry systems.
• Strong communication and a customer-service mindset.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physical capacity to lift up to 50 pounds, stand and walk for long periods, climb ladders, and work outdoors in all weather.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and property management software.

Responsibilities

• Maintain upkeep, repair, and overall health of the property.
• Handle hands-on repairs across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and pool/spa systems.
• Respond quickly to work orders and complete to a high-quality finish.
• Walk the property to catch maintenance issues and keep codes compliant.
• Protect curb appeal by maintaining grounds, exteriors, and common areas.
• Partner with Maintenance Supervisor to prioritize tasks, approve purchases, coordinate vendors.
• Keep clear records of work, materials, hours, and completion status.
• Take turns in after-hours on-call rotation and assist with snow/ice removal.
• Stay current with maintenance software and keep work orders up-to-date.
