Job summary

Roundhouse in Huntley, MT is seeking a Maintenance Technician to upkeep and repair our multifamily properties. You will handle plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and pool/spa systems, respond to work orders, and ensure safety compliance across sites.

The ideal candidate has at least one year in general maintenance, a valid driver’s license, and strong customer-service skills. This is a full-time on-site role with benefits and an on-call rotation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year in general maintenance and repair work.
• A working understanding of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, CPO, and carpentry systems.
• Strong communication and a genuine customer-service mindset.
• A valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• The physical capacity to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, stand and walk for long stretches, climb ladders, and work outdoors in all weather.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and property management software.

Responsibilities

• You are responsible for the upkeep, repair, and overall health of the property.
• Handle hands-on repairs across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and pool and spa systems.
• Respond fast to work orders and see each one through to a high-quality finish.
• Walk the property to catch maintenance issues early and keep it compliant with safety and health codes.
• Protect curb appeal by keeping grounds, building exteriors, and common areas clean and functional.
• Partner with the Maintenance Supervisor to prioritize tasks, approve purchases, and coordinate vendors.
• Keep clear records of the work you do, including materials, hours, and completion status.
• Take your turn in the after-hours emergency on-call rotation and pitch in on snow and ice removal.
• Stay on top of your maintenance software so every work order is current, accurate, and on time.
• Follow all safety procedures in the Employee Handbook, SOPs, OSHA standards, and on-equipment labels.
