Job summary

Harbor Group Management Company is seeking a Maintenance Technician for multifamily properties in Maryland. You will perform skilled maintenance across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and appliance repairs to keep properties safe and appealing.

You'll handle resident service requests, prep vacant units, and maintain common areas, while adhering to safety policies and local codes. Emergency on-call availability and a valid driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• 1 year of general maintenance experience including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, painting, or appliance repair.
• HVAC certification preferred; EPA Type I & II or Universal for refrigerant handling.
• Multifamily (apartment) maintenance experience preferred.
• Must be available for emergency on-call, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical and mechanical maintenance across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, appliances, and glass replacement.
• Respond to resident service requests promptly using a work order system.
• Conduct preventative maintenance to ensure safe operation of the property.
• Prepare vacant units for new residents with inspections, punch lists, and contractor coordination.
• Maintain amenity areas and common spaces with cleaning and repairs.
• Manage tools, materials, inventory, and notify for reorders.
• Inspect vendor work for quality and scope
