Job summary

Harbor Group Management Company is seeking a Maintenance Technician to maintain the property’s buildings, grounds, and amenities. You will handle routine maintenance, respond to resident requests, and support efficient property operations to meet company standards.

The role requires experience in general maintenance, HVAC certification is preferred, and on-call availability including evenings and weekends. A valid driver's license may be needed for certain tasks.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of general maintenance experience across plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, painting or appliance repair.
• HVAC certification preferred; EPA Type I & II or Universal for refrigerant handling.
• Multifamily (apartment) maintenance experience highly desired.
• Available for emergency on-call, including evenings and weekends as needed by property.
• Valid driver’s license required (golf cart operation if applicable).
• Customer-service oriented with professional interaction with residents.
• Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical and mechanical maintenance across the property (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, appliances, glass).
• Respond promptly to resident service requests using work orders and track progress.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and routine repairs to ensure safe operation of the property.
• Prepare vacant units for new residents with inspections, punch lists, and scheduling contractors.
• Maintain amenity areas (breezeways, pool, common spaces) through cleaning and minor repairs.
• Manage maintenance tools and inventory, and notify for reorders.
• Inspect work by vendors to ensure quality and scope alignment.
• Assist in property inspections to identify maintenance needs and upkeep.
