Job summary

B5 Recruiting is partnering with a large property management organization to hire several Maintenance Technicians. You will perform a range of trades to keep residences safe, attractive, and well‑maintained.

This contract-to-hire role offers hands-on experience in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and more, with on-call rotation and room for growth within a property management team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1–3+ years of maintenance experience in multifamily or residential property management.
• Experience with plumbing, basic electrical, appliance repair, carpentry/drywall, roofing, and flooring.
• Ability to complete apartment turns, work orders, and preventive maintenance independently.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Own set of basic maintenance tools.
• Ability to participate in an on-call maintenance rotation.
• HVAC/EPA, CFC, or CPO certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare apartments for new residents (turns & move-outs).
• Complete work orders efficiently and professionally.
• Keep exterior areas clean and well-presented (curb appeal).
• Conduct routine and preventive maintenance.
• Daily trash pickup and grounds upkeep.
• Maintain trash compactors and swimming pools (in season).
• Check irrigation systems.
• Maintain accurate records of work and materials used.
• Participate in the on-call maintenance rotation.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
• Troubleshoot and repair: Plumbing, Basic electrical, Appliances, Carpentry & drywall, Roofing & flooring.
