Job summary

Brookside Properties is seeking a Maintenance Technician for The Palmer in Ridgeland, SC. You’ll complete work orders, prepare vacants, and maintain pools and amenities, using EPA and CPO certifications.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of multifamily maintenance, HVAC experience, a high school diploma or GED, and reliable transportation. OSHA/EPA standards, strong communication, and outdoors work are essential; bilingual skills a plus.

Qualifications

• EPA Certification (Type II or Universal).
• Minimum 2 years of maintenance experience (multifamily preferred).
• HVAC experience helpful.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Own basic tools and reliable transportation.
• Able to work outdoors and walk the property regularly.
• Bilingual skills a plus, not required.

Responsibilities

• Complete work orders and service requests promptly.
• Prepare vacant apartments for new residents.
• Maintain pool and amenities (CPO required).
• Respond to after-hours emergencies (on-call rotation).
• Uphold OSHA, EPA, and Fair Housing standards.
• Track supply inventory and equipment maintenance.
