Job summary

Brookside Properties seeks a skilled Maintenance Technician for The Palmer in Ridgeland, SC. You will perform routine maintenance, prep vacant apartments, and help maintain pool/amenities, while supporting on-call readiness and safety compliance.

The role requires EPA certification, at least 2 years in maintenance, HVAC experience, and a high school diploma or GED. Bilingual skills a plus, with outdoor work and reliable transportation expected.

Qualifications

• EPA Certification (Type II or Universal) is required.
• Minimum 2 years of maintenance experience (multifamily preferred).
• HVAC experience is preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Own basic tools and reliable transportation.
• Ability to work outdoors and walk the property regularly.
• Bilingual skills are a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Complete work orders and service requests promptly.
• Prepare vacant apartments for new residents.
• Maintain pool and amenities (CPO required).
• Respond to after-hours emergencies (on-call rotation).
• Uphold OSHA, EPA, and Fair Housing standards.
• Track supply inventory and equipment maintenance.
