Job summary

Lawson Companies is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead the maintenance team for our multifamily properties in Virginia. You will supervise maintenance staff, schedule work orders, and ensure safety and compliance while delivering timely repairs.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum Type I & II CFC refrigerant certification per 40 CFR Part 82, Subpart F.
• Certified Manager of Maintenance (CMM) designee or ability to obtain within one year.
• Mechanical aptitude with at least two years maintenance trade experience.
• All applicable certifications must be obtained within the first year of employment.
• Good human relation skills and supervision ability.
• Ability to drive a golf cart and possess a valid driver's license.
• Able to respond to inclement weather events.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise maintenance staff to ensure effective execution of responsibilities.
• Schedule and prioritize maintenance tasks with timely completion of work orders.
• Maintain open communication with office staff.
• Submit timely reports to the Director of Maintenance.
• Manage service requests and ensure 24-hour response times.
• Turn/renovate vacant units promptly to minimize vacancy loss.
• Input and close work orders accurately.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance and safety programs.
