Job summary

The Lawson Companies is seeking a Maintenance Technician to provide responsive and efficient maintenance for our Virginia properties. The role reports to the Maintenance Supervisor and supports a team-focused, safety-conscious environment.

Responsibilities include HVAC and appliance repairs, plumbing and electrical tasks, preventive maintenance, and timely completion of service requests. Ideal candidates hold basic trades expertise and a valid CFC certification.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year maintenance trade experience.
• Possess Type I & II CFC Refrigerant Certification per 40 CFR Part 82, Subpart F or ability to obtain within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Handle service requests and respond to work orders promptly.
• Perform assigned projects with quality workmanship and timeliness.
• Serve as on-call emergency service technician as directed.
• Repair/replace HVAC systems and components, gas/electric appliances, glass and tile, floors, fixtures, blinds, and exterior features.
• Perform plumbing, electrical, painting, concrete, masonry, minor extermination and carpentry work.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and follow established PM procedures.
• Ensure customer satisfaction and timely completion of work orders (within 24 hours).
• Report resident complaints and requests to the Supervisor; perform other duties as assigned.
