Job summary

Gateway at Ellington in Pensacola, FL is hiring an experienced Maintenance Supervisor with multi-family experience. This role leads the on-site maintenance team, oversees hands-on maintenance of the community, and ensures timely and quality service for residents.

Responsibilities include training and supervising maintenance staff, coordinating repairs, and maintaining adherence to budgets and safety standards.

Qualifications

• EPA or CFC certification required.
• Minimum three years hands-on maintenance experience in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or carpentry.
• Valid driver's license and auto insurance required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work after hours and take emergency calls.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on maintenance of the community, including inspection and repair of apartments and common areas.
• Lead the maintenance staff as a team leader; delegate, supervise and direct work.
• Train and supervise maintenance staff; participate in hiring, interviews, and performance reviews.
• Respond to resident service requests in a timely, courteous manner.
• Prepare market-ready apartments including painting, cleaning and repairs.
• Maintain maintenance logs and safety practices; monitor budgets and inventory.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance and perform various trades (electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, pool care).
• Perform on-call emergency service as required.
