Job summary

Woodmont Real Estate Services in Pleasanton, CA, is seeking an Apartment Maintenance Technician for The Hacienda Commons. The role focuses on repairs, preventive maintenance, and upkeep of a modern multifamily community; you will respond to service requests, conduct make-readies for vacant units, and coordinate with vendors and residents.

Candidates should have 2+ years in apartment maintenance, experience with appliances, plumbing, painting, and electrical work, and own basic tools.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of apartment maintenance experience in multifamily property management.
• Experience with RealPage, HappyCo, Yardi or other property management systems preferred.
• Familiarity with common diagnostic and repairs for standard apartment appliances such as GE, Whirlpool washers/dryers, refrigerators, microwaves, HVAC, painting, drywall.
• Have own set of hand tools, power tools, and other basic tools required for maintaining the property.

Responsibilities

• Respond to resident service requests and perform repairs and preventative maintenance as per policies and safety standards.
• Complete make-ready process for vacant apartments, including inspections, punch lists, and final walkthroughs.
• Maintain inventory and supplies; notify supervisor for reorders.
• Accurately document all work completed and maintenance logs.
• Assist with cleaning common areas and overall upkeep to enhance community appeal.
• Support cost-control by repairing instead of replacing when possible and using supplies efficiently.
• Participate in property safety meetings and comply with OSHA regulations.
• Inspect vendor/contractor work for quality as needed.
• Assist with periodic property inspections and report needs to management.
• Respond to after-hours and weekend emergencies on a rotating on-call basis.
