Job summary

Harbor Group Management Company is seeking a Maintenance Technician to uphold the property's physical integrity, service requests, and common areas, ensuring safety and functionality.

You will perform plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, appliance repair, and coordinate with contractors, respond to emergencies, and prepare units for new residents, while following company safety policies.

Qualifications

• One year of general maintenance including plumbing, electrical, carpentry or appliance repair.
• HVAC certification preferred; EPA Type I & II or Universal refrigerant handling certification required.
• Multifamily (apartment) maintenance experience highly desired.
• Must be available for emergency on-call including evenings and weekends.
• Valid driver’s license for golf cart operation if applicable.
• Customer-service oriented with professional resident interaction.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety guidelines.
• Any other certifications as required by local/state laws.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical maintenance including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, appliance repair, and glass replacement.
• Respond to resident service requests promptly using a work order system.
• Conduct preventative maintenance for safe operation across the property.
• Prepare vacant units for new residents: inspections, punch lists, scheduling, repairs, quality checks.
• Maintain amenity areas through cleaning, trash removal, pressure washing, and painting.
• Manage maintenance tools and inventory, notify when reorders are needed.
• Repair rather than replace parts to maintain cost efficiency.
• Attend safety meetings and OSHA training; report incidents accurately.
• Inspect work by vendors or contractors for quality and scope compliance.
• Assist in property inspections to identify maintenance needs and upkeep.
