Job summary

B.HOM Student Living is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support the upkeep of our community in San Marcos, TX. You will handle preventative maintenance, repairs, and unit turns while delivering timely, high-quality service to residents.

The role requires basic maintenance knowledge, strong problem-solving, and excellent communication skills. Expect day shifts with on-call requirements and potential weekend work to meet property needs.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance, and general maintenance systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to safely operate maintenance equipment and tools.
• Availability for night, weekend, and on-call responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing, appliances, carpentry, drywall, and general maintenance.
• Schedule, monitor, and perform preventative maintenance activities.
• Complete apartment turns and prepare units for new residents.
• Ensure all work orders are completed promptly, professionally, and accurately.
• Perform emergency maintenance as required.
• Inspect buildings, grounds, and common areas to identify maintenance needs.
• Assist with scheduling and coordinating vendors and contractors.
• Accurately prepare and submit invoices and maintenance documentation.
