Job summary

NewCastle Management Group in the Richmond, VA area is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our service team at a class A property. You will perform ongoing facility maintenance and repairs across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliance systems to uphold safety and quality.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years of apartment maintenance experience, are willing to obtain HVAC and CPO certifications within six months, and demonstrate strong customer service and problem-solving

Qualifications

• HVAC certification and CPO certification required or willing to obtain within first 6 months.
• Minimum 2 years of maintenance experience in a residential community or similar.
• High school diploma or GED (or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Complete apartment work orders and turnovers.
• Perform general carpentry: wallboard, countertops/cabinets, finish carpentry, windows/doors, tile repair.
• Maintain and repair appliances, plumbing, minor HVAC, and electrical systems.
• Assist in upkeep of common areas, buildings, and pool.
• Conduct preventative maintenance to ensure systems function properly.
• Provide exceptional customer service to residents and clients.
• Monitor and organize inventory and supplies.
• Pickup and deliver supplies as needed; power washing and snow removal as required.
• Other duties as assigned.
