Job summary

Apartment Management Professionals is seeking an Assistant Maintenance Director to support upkeep and operation across our apartment communities. You will perform HVAC, electrical, plumbing, flooring, carpentry, drywall, and pool repairs, ensuring timely work orders and strong customer service.

The role requires HVAC, EPA, and CPO certifications with at least three years of general maintenance experience (including one year in apartment maintenance).

Qualifications

Knowledgeable of basic electric, plumbing, drywall/painting, carpentry, tile repairs.
HVAC, EPA, and CPO certified required.
Minimum of three years general maintenance experience, at least one year in apartment maintenance.
Experience with turnovers/make-readies in multifamily properties is a plus.
Ability to multitask, stay organized and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing, flooring, carpentry, drywall, and pool systems.
Respond to work orders within 24-48 hours and complete promptly.
Assist Maintenance Director with routine property inspections for safety and compliance.
Respond to tenant requests with excellent customer service.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws including Fair Housing.
Perform all other duties as required.
