Job summary

The Rosenblum Companies is seeking a full-time Building Maintenance Technician in Albany, NY to support our multifamily property management team. Duties include inspecting properties, performing routine and preventive maintenance, and coordinating with tenants and vendors to ensure asset integrity.

Minimum three years in building maintenance, basic carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC knowledge are required. OSHA 10 and Fair Housing certifications must be completed within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Minimum GED or equivalent; accredited trade school or relevant experience; relevant training through an apprenticeship program.
• Minimum three (3) years of responsible experience performing a variety of building maintenance duties.
• General building maintenance and construction knowledge; including basic carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC.
• OSHA 10 & Fair Housing certification completed within 90 days of hire.
• Knowledge of safe work practices, basic computer and smartphone usage.

Responsibilities

• Inspect buildings, maintain cleanliness, functionality, and quality of common areas, amenities, and grounds.
• Complete work orders promptly; perform routine maintenance on building systems including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, mechanical, and structural components.
• Monitor systems, troubleshoot issues, and elevate as needed; interface with tenants and onsite staff.
• Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance tasks and inspections; maintain logs and documentation.
• Be available for rotating on-call schedule nights and weekends; travel between locations.
