Job summary

The Rosenblum Development Corporation is seeking a facilities manager to lead the Building Engineering team and oversee operations across a diverse real estate portfolio in Albany, NY. The role collaborates with Property Management, Construction, and Asset Management to optimize performance and value.

Responsibilities include developing maintenance budgets, implementing energy initiatives, and driving efficiency while ensuring high tenant satisfaction and safe, reliable building systems.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of facilities management experience including hands-on building maintenance and/or construction.
• Strong knowledge of building systems, mechanical/electrical operations, and maintenance best practices.
• Ability to lead and manage maintenance teams and vendors.
• Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with tenants, vendors, and team members.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage and hold accountable the Building Engineering team across the portfolio.
• Serve as strategic owner of building systems and standardize programming and operations.
• Develop energy efficiency initiatives and sustainability programs across properties.
• Own repair and maintenance budgets and monitor monthly variances with accounting collaboration.
• Oversee capital planning and multi-year improvements; coordinate with contractors and stakeholders.
• Develop preventive maintenance programs and reduce reactive maintenance.
• Provide hands-on training to lead engineers and assist in emergency response when needed.
