Job summary

Nightwing in Springfield, VA seeks a Multi-disciplinary Engineer II to lead design lifecycle from concept to deployment, collaborating across mechanical, electrical, computer, and software domains to deliver innovative solutions for our customers.

The role requires hands-on prototype development, testing, CAD work, and clear communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders. TS/SCI clearance is required or eligible; sponsorship provided.

Qualifications

• Candidate must have or be eligible and willing to obtain a TS/SCI clearance with CI polygraph.
• Minimum two (2) years of prior relevant experience.
• Hands-on experience with electro-mechanical systems and prototyping.
• Experience with building and troubleshooting electronics and sensors.
• CAD experience for design and documentation (SolidWorks or Autodesk Revit).
• Excellent written and oral communication skills and ability to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Develop customer requirements and design test plans.
• Lead prototyping, validation, documentation, and design reviews.
• Coordinate with vendors and prepare drawings/schematics/flowcharts.
• Present design reviews and mentor trainings.
