Job summary

Nightwing Intelligence Solutions, LLC seeks a Multi-disciplinary Engineer II in the Springfield, VA area to lead design from concept to deployment. You will collaborate across mechanical, electrical, computer, and software domains to create innovative engineering solutions for mission support programs.

Responsibilities include developing requirements, test plans, CAD design, prototyping, vendor coordination, and presenting design reviews.

Qualifications

• MS or BS in Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Engineering or Computer Science
• Minimum two years of prior relevant experience
• Hands-on experience with electro-mechanical systems, including building, testing, and troubleshooting prototypes
• Proficiency in building and troubleshooting electronics, working with breadboards, and integrating various electrical components (e.g., Arduino or Raspberry Pi)
• Hands-on experience with CAD software for design and documentation (SolidWorks or Autodesk Revit)
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly

Responsibilities

• Develop customer requirements, design test plans, conduct engineering analyses, and perform testing
• Create and evolve designs, prepare drawings/schematics/flowcharts, coordinate with vendors, author procedures, lead trainings
• Present design reviews and lead prototyping, validation, and documentation
• Involve cross-disciplinary problem solving across mechanical, electrical, computer, and software domains
• Collaborate with customers and coworkers from different disciplines to deliver solutions
