Job summary

LyondellBasell is seeking a maintenance technician to perform mechanical repairs, preventive maintenance, and reliability improvements on plant equipment and piping. The role emphasizes safe practices, reading drawings, and multi-craft collaboration to improve plant on-stream time.

You must have a high school diploma or equivalent, strong math/measurement skills, and be willing to work extended hours and callouts. NCCER millwright certification or similar knowledge is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong math and measurement skills.
• Candidates must have the ability to perform heavy lifting and work under adverse conditions, such as cramped spaces and extreme weather.
• Willingness to work extended hours, weekends, outages, and to respond to callouts on short notice.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical repairs, preventive maintenance, and reliability improvements on plant equipment and piping.
• Use hazard recognition techniques to work safely and support the plant safety process.
• Read mechanical drawings and blueprints; operate rolling equipment as needed.
• Repair or replace valves and fittings and assemble/disassemble components.
• Lead informal or formal work groups; maintain high quality of work.
