Job summary

Butterball, LLC in Raeford, NC is seeking an on-site Maintenance Technician to provide mechanical support for production systems. The role covers electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and welding tasks, with focus on keeping equipment up and running through diagnostics, preventive maintenance and repairs.

You will read schematics and instructions, work with other IMTs and operators, and ensure safety and food-safety standards are met while supporting continuous improvements in the plant.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in at least one maintenance discipline
• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Certificate/Diploma in Industrial Maintenance or similar area strongly preferred
• Ability to read diagrams, manuals, and work instructions
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform basic math

Responsibilities

• Performs a wide range of maintenance tasks involving electrical, electronics, pneumatics, hydraulics, welding, and fabrication to keep equipment operating
• Troubleshoots and repairs equipment using diagnostic tools
• Performs preventive maintenance tasks from lubrication to blade changes
• Tears down and reassembles equipment for food safety initiatives
• Provides training to IMTs and Operators on preventive maintenance processes
• Interprets blueprints, schematics, and work orders to perform duties
• Suggests process changes to improve equipment uptime and reliability
• Ensures safety and food safety policies are followed and documents work performed
