Job summary

Proctors Collaborative seeks a Programming Manager to join its Programming team. The Programming Manager works with the VP of Programming, Marketing and Communications to strategize, develop, book, and manage non-Broadway programming across Proctors Collaborative venues.

This full-time, benefits-eligible position requires collaboration across departments, tight calendar management, and strong negotiation skills to maximize opportunities and ensure successful events for the Capital District

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent work-related experience; arts-related field preferred.
  • 3–5 years of experience booking a multi-genre venue, with extensive knowledge of music, performing arts, cultural programming, and arts-driven programming for nonprofit arts organizations.
  • Knowledge of artist agreements, contracts, riders, offers, production advances, settlements, and related booking details; prior settlement experience required.

Responsibilities

  • Book and manage a diverse mix of programming across Proctors Collaborative venues.
  • Negotiate and coordinate with agents, artists, promoters, and managers.
  • Balance presented and non-presented dates on the calendar with internal teams.
  • Build show budgets, offers, and monitor expenses and revenue for events.
