Job summary

Applebee's Neighborhood Grill + Bar is seeking a General Manager to lead daily restaurant operations, financial performance, and TEAM development under the Area Director. The GM oversees managers and hourly staff, drives guest satisfaction, and ensures compliance with company standards.

Candidates should have prior AGM or unit GM experience, completion of Apple II Management training, and a proven record of achieving business goals with a national chain.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent professional experience.
• Assistant General Manager (AGM) or prior Unit General Manager experience with a similar organization.
• Completion of Apple II Management training.
• Minimum 7+ years of multi-unit restaurant management experience with direct P&L accountability; national chain preferred.
• Exemplary restaurant operations leadership skills and strong business acumen.

Responsibilities

• Ensures prompt, friendly service according to Company guidelines.
• Builds a culture using the Vision / Mission statement to guide Values.
• Ensures immediate response and correction of verbal guest complaints; refers to AD as needed.
• Maintains guest experience as a priority with a goal of 100% table visitation.
• Teaches and enforces alcohol awareness; liaises with local authorities as needed.
• Maintains adequate inventory levels and ensures product preparation meets standards.
• Actively participates in the community to increase sales and restaurant awareness.
• Oversees scheduling to meet sales demands and ensures safety/sanitation programs.
