Bon Appetit is seeking a General Manager for Vanguard University to oversee the overall operation and cost-effective management of multiple dining service departments across facilities in the geography. You will drive financial performance and service excellence for residents and customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree in foodservices or related field preferred; or equivalent experience.
• Five+ years of retail operational foodservice management experience preferred.
• P&L accountability and contract-managed service experience desirable.
• Multi-unit management experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of financial, budgetary, accounting, and computational practices.
• Proficient computer skills including various programs, e-mail and Internet.

Responsibilities

• Well versed in all aspects of foodservice management, with a proven track record of success.
• Takes ownership of the operation and ensures timelines for service and client requirements are met.
• Manages all financials including planning, budget development and analysis, and financial reporting.
• Interacts professionally with a diverse group of associates, peers, managers, suppliers, clients and customers.
• Demonstrates initiative and good judgement in assisting customers, clients, peers and subordinates.
• Conducts management meetings.
• Evaluates problems quickly and makes appropriate recommendations.
• Audits units for conformance with standards, regulations and codes.
• Hires, trains and orientates new management associates.
