Job summary

Southside Market & Barbeque in Elgin, TX is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to oversee daily upkeep of restaurants, commissary kitchen and plant. You will perform electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and refrigeration repairs, maintain walk-in coolers and boilers, and manage CMMS work orders while coordinating with third-party contractors and ensuring safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Degree from a vocational school preferred.
• Facilities or Maintenance certificates a plus.
• 3 years of Maintenance Technician experience preferred, restaurant environment ideal.
• Experience supporting multi-unit locations.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC/R, plumbing, electrical systems, etc.
• Proficiency in reading electrical/hydraulic/pneumatic schematics.
• Experience using CMMS work order system (Ecotrak).
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Food Handler Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems and components.
• Repair and maintain plumbing systems and water equipment.
• Maintain HVAC, refrigeration and walk-in coolers; manage temperature control.
• Manage facilities management software; log work orders and track parts.
• Support preventive maintenance and coordinate third-party contractors.
• Daily management of work orders to minimize downtime.
• Travel between multiple restaurants as required.
• On-call availability after hours, holidays and weekends.
• Observe safety and security standards.
