Job summary

Southside Market & Barbeque is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to oversee daily upkeep of our restaurants, commissary kitchen and plant. Responsibilities include electrical, plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration, and coordinating with contractors while maintaining compliance and safety.

You will manage CMMS logging, preventive maintenance schedules, and daily reports, with travel between locations and after-hours availability as needed.

Qualifications

• Degree from a vocational school preferred.
• Any Facilities or Maintenance Certificates a plus.
• 3 years of Maintenance Technician experience preferred, preferably in Restaurant environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems including wiring, circuit breakers, distribution panels, motors and controls.
• Repair and preventive maintenance on plumbing systems (drains, toilets, sinks, water heaters, boilers, water softeners).
• Independently supervise and assist in HVAC, refrigeration, and other mechanical systems in a food manufacturing environment; maintain walk-in coolers, freezers, ice machines, and ventilation for wood-fired cooking equipment.
• Manage facilities management software, log work orders, track parts/equipment, and produce daily/weekly reports.
• Support comprehensive preventive maintenance plan; coordinate with third-party contractors; ensure work completed to company standards and within budget.
• Manage daily work orders with urgency to minimize downtime; travel between multiple restaurants; on-call for after-hours/holidays/weekends; observe safety standards.
