Job summary

Jackson Hewitt District Manager in Wisconsin leads a multi-unit retail team, owning local P&L, recruitment, scheduling, and daily operations. You’ll drive marketing initiatives, ensure safety, and develop a high-performing staff to deliver exceptional client service and strong results.

You will mentor store leadership, manage budgets, and partner with HR to resolve employee relations, while advancing brand standards and community presence across the district.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 3-5 years’ experience in retail management preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills with ability to lead and engage a team.
• Must demonstrate ability to manage local P&L and budgets.
• Must be able to hold an Electronic Filing Identification Number (EFIN).
• Excellent communication skills (written and oral).

Responsibilities

• Responsible for managing the local P&L, recruiting, staffing, scheduling, store set-up, store operations and implementing marketing initiatives.
• Ensures the safety/security of company assets, clients, and employees through regular store visits, and training of store standards/compliance with company and government safety standards.
• Responsible for building a high performing team through recruitment, guidance, training, and development of team members.
• Provide actionable strategies for retention by creating individual development plans and maintaining high morale.
• Act as a coach and mentor to store leadership, providing feedback and coaching to improve performance.
• Foster an environment where associates express their views; set high standards and empower others.
• Manage and develop the Assistant District Manager and drive sales and client service; supervise support staff.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting and the P&L; identify opportunities to improve client attraction and retention and reduce expenses.
• Ensure execution of all branding and operational standards.
• Create and approve work schedules; monitor systems and coordinate with HR on employee relations.
• Collaborate with HR to address employee relations matters and development processes.
• Maintain relationships with brokers, property managers and landlords; coordinate Capex budgets and office build-outs.
• Analyze store policies and procedures and recommend changes as needed.
• Ensure adherence to federal, state, and company compliance regulations.
